The 4th China-ASEAN Horticultural Product Postharvest Conference

We have a transport guideline for every attendee who wants to get to The 4th China-ASEAN Horticultural Product Postharvest Conference at the Grand Richmond Stylish Convention Hotel in Nonthaburi.

The hotel is located in Nonthaburi province, which is part of the greater Bangkok Metropolitan Area. This province is almost the smallest province in Thailand.

The hotel is located along the main road, and the Purple Line Skytrain is accessible right in front of the hotel. There are also 3 bus routes which connect to the hotel: route 18 (2-3), 134, 191. For anyone driving to the hotel, there will be 1000 parking spaces.

How to get to the Grand Richmond Hotel from the airport?

• For attendees traveling from abroad – we recommend 2 types of transportation: train or car hailing (Taxi, Grab, Bolt).

• This guide will tell you how to reach the hotel from both airports, Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK).

    o This guide will also tell you how to reach the hotel from the city center.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)

By Train

From Suvarnabhumi Airport, you can take the greater Bangkok train system to travel to the Grand Richmond Hotel by taking 3 train lines (ARL, Blue, and Purple). The total fare is 82 baht and takes roughly 55 minutes, not including the time to walk to the station and potential waiting time for the train.

1.Take Airport Rail Link (ARL) [A1] Suvarnabhumi -> [A6] Makkasan / 35 baht (5 stops – 22 minutes)

2.Walk 500m from ARL Makkasan Station to MRT Blue line Phetchaburi station.

3.Take MRT Blue line [BL21] Phetchaburi -> [BL10] Tao Poon.

4.Go to platform 4 to get on the Purple line [PP16] Tao Poon -> [PP10] Bang Krasor / 47 baht (17 stops – 32 minutes).

* You can buy a single ticket to [PP10] Bang Krasor and change the train at Tao Poon Station, no need to go out from the station to purchase another ticket.

5.The entrance to the hotel is at Bang Krasor Exit 4, but there is no escalator or elevator at this exit.

Or use Exit 3 to get off the station by escalator or elevator, but you have to walk 350m from the station to get to the hotel.

By Taxi

Taking a taxi from Suvarnabhumi airport to the hotel is probably the most convenient option, but also the most expensive. The approximate travel distance is about 48 km. Travel time takes around 50 minutes – 2 hours depending on traffic. If there is no traffic at all, it could even take only 40 minutes!

Below are the prices for taking a regular taxi ride, and for calling through a ride-sharing app:

• Regular taxis cost around 430-500 baht on the meter and has an additional surcharge of 50 baht to get on from the airport queue.

• Grab JustGrab (4-seat car) costs 500 baht, and a GrabCar Plus (SUV/Premium) costs 820 baht.

• Bolt Economy/Comfort type costs 390-450 baht, and XL costs 770 baht. This option is cheaper than Grab but may be hard to find a driver.

From Don Mueang Airport (DMK)

By Train

From Don Mueang Airport, you can take the greater Bangkok train system to travel to the Grand Richmond Hotel via 2 route options. The first option involves taking 3 train lines (Red North, Red West, and Purple). The total fare is 59 baht and takes roughly 32 minutes. The second option also involves taking 3 train lines (Red, Pink, and Purple). The total fare is 71 baht and takes roughly 45 minutes not including the time to walk to the station and waiting for the train.

Option 1

1.Follow the “SRTET Red Line” sign by walking on the 2nd floor from Terminal 1 through Terminal 2 and connecting to the station via the sky bridge. The total distance is approximately 800 meters.

2.SRTET Red line [RN08] Don Mueang -> [RW02] Bang Son / 39 baht (2 stops – 22 minutes).

* You need to change the platform to No. 9 at [RN01/RW01] Krung Thep Aphiwat which is a short distance walk within the station. No need to buy another ticket.

3.Walk 350m from Pink line [RW02] Bang Son station to Purple line [PP15] Bang Son (has a sky walk all the way).

4.MRT Purple line [PP15] Bang Son -> [PP10] Bang Krasor / 20 baht (5 stops – 10 min)

5.The entrance to the hotel is at Bang Krasor Exit 4, but there is no escalator or elevator at this exit.

Or use Exit 3 to get off the station by escalator or elevator, but you have to walk 350m from the station to get to the hotel.

** You can get a 20 baht fare cap if you use an EMV Contactless card (VISA/Mastercard/Europay) to enter the station for both the Red Line and Purple Line, which means you need to pay only 20 baht from the airport to Bang Son station but you need to use the same card

Option 1

2.SRTET Red line [RN08] Don Mueang -> [RN06] Lak Si / 18 baht (2 stops – 5 minutes).

3.Walk 500m from the Red line to the Pink line (has some stairs).

4.MRT Pink line [PK14] Lak Si -> [PK01] Nonthaburi Civic Center / 37 baht (13 stops – 23 minutes)

5.Take Exit 4 and use the skywalk to connect to MRT Purple line, walking about 450m.

6.MRT Purple line [PP11] Nonthaburi Civic Centre 16 -> [PP10] Bang Krasor / 16 baht (1 stop – 5 min)

7.The entrance to the hotel is at Exit 4, but there is no escalator or elevator at this exit.

Or use Exit 3 to get off the station by escalator or elevator, but you have to walk 350m.

By Taxi

Taking a taxi from Don Mueang airport to the hotel is the most convenient option, but also the most expensive. The approximate travel distance is about 23 km. Travel time can take around 30 minutes – 1 hour 15 minutes depending on the traffic. If there is no traffic at all, it could take only 20 minutes.

Below are the prices for taking a regular taxi ride and calling through a ride-sharing app:

• Regular taxi costs around 200-260 baht on the meter and has an additional surcharge of 50 baht to get one from the airport queue.

• Grab JustGrab (4-seat car) costs 300 baht, and GrabSUV/GrabCar Premium costs 540 baht.

• Bolt Economy/Comfort type costs 220-250 baht, XL costs 430 baht. This option is cheap but may be hard to find a driver.

From the City

Getting from the city gives you a few more travel options, which depends on where you are and how you wish to travel. As usual, your main travel options are by train or by taxi.

By Train

Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT)

1.Ride the Blue line to [BL10] Tao Poon.

    o If you’re coming via the BTS Sukhumvit Line, you will need to transfer to the Blue line at [E4] Asok / [BL22] Sukhumvit, [N8] Mo Chit / [BL13] Chatuchak Park, and [N9] Ha Yaek Lat Phrao / [BL14] Phahon Yothin.

    o If you’re coming via the BTS Silom Line, you will need to transfer to the Blue line at [S12/BL34] Bang Wa or [S2] Sala Daeng / [BL26] Silom.

2.Go to platform 4 to get on the Purple line [PP16] Tao Poon -> [PP10] Bang Krasor / 47 baht (17 stops – 32 minutes).

* If you are already riding on the MRT, you can buy a single ticket to [PP10] Bang Krasor and change the train at Tao Poon Station, no need to go out from the station to purchase another ticket.

3.The entrance to the hotel is at Bang Krasor Exit 4, but there is no escalator or elevator at this exit.

By Taxi

Riding a taxi from the city center can cost anywhere from 200 – 400 baht, depending on your location. Regular taxis can be hailed from the street, but it may be more convenient to use a ride-sharing app such as Grab or Bolt.

By Boat

This travel option is a bit unique if you want to experience a boat across the iconic Chao Phraya river. The boat system is served by Chao Phraya Express Green Line (Pakkret – Sathorn). The boat is only in operation on weekdays (Mon – Fri).

1.Ride the boat from [CEN] Sathorn (Taksin Bridge) -> Phra Nang Klao Pier.

2.Transfer to the MRT Purple line and ride from [PP8] Phra Nang Klao Bridge -> [PP10] Bang Krasor / 19 baht (2 stops – 3 minutes).

3.The entrance to the hotel is at Bang Krasor Exit 4, but there is no escalator or elevator at this exit.
